Jerry Dee Smith, was the first of four children born in Burkburnett, Texas. on Nov 12, 1935, and died peacefully and without incident in the presence of her loving husband Tim on April 13, 2020.
She was a cheerleader, twirler, voted most popular in senior year, and crowned Baseball queen of west Texas.
After High School she married and moved to Dallas in 1970, and had two beautiful boys; Greg and Donny Armstrong. During this time she debuted in a national TV ad for TSO optical. She married the love of her life, Tim Smith, in 1978, which brought her two stepchildren; Tammy and Tim Jr. Smith. As the loving mother she was, she is remembered for her unbreakable happy spirit and joyful singing, particularly in waking her children in the mornings. She then had international debut hosting Texas Instruments Board of Directors in Singapore. Her endless and brilliant smile was her trademark. As a pillar of support to her husband, she was beside him in the development of his company Avazzia. The character of her heart for God always stood first, her love for family was her strength and the size of heart and love for others and family shown in her constant demonstrations of generous giving.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Smith; sister, Charlotte Carnes and her husband Roy, and their three children and eight grandchildren; sister, Debbie Miller; brother, Dale Miller and his wife Ava, their four children and eight grandchildren; son, Greg Armstrong and his two sons; son, Donny Armstrong and his wife Lauri and their two children; stepchildren Tammy Lahutsky her husband Tom and their three children and Tim Smith Jr. and his wife Yvette.
