Jennifer Carlman-Leising

Jennifer Rae Carlman-Leising, 48, of Plano, Texas, passed away, Thursday August 3, 2023, from colon cancer. She was born on December 11, 1974, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to Billie and Ruble McCanless. Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her sisters Karen and Belinda, and her brother Ricky.

Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her husband James, her sons Titan Carlman, Aiden Leising and Troy Leising, her sisters Judy and Rocke, her brother David, and many other beloved family members. She touched the lives of her family and friends with her funny, outgoing, adventurous personality.

Jennifer graduated from Clark High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, and went on to pursue aesthetics at the Southern Nevada University of Cosmetology. She studied real estate at Champions School of Real Estate.

Jennifer worked in aesthetics at Healing Hands Day Spa, Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center, and Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. She excelled in the real estate industry, receiving the 2019 Top Rookie of The Year Award at Keller Williams Plano Market Center. Her dedication and expertise led her to be recognized as a Top REALTOR by Plano Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022, through her transition to Compass.

Jennifer was a member of Chase Oaks Church in Plano, Texas. She attended and served in Moms Connection making many lifelong friends there. The Chase Oaks community has been such a blessing to Jennifer and her family.

Jennifer enjoyed volunteering in her community. She served many years in her children's schools, helping with the design and sale of school spirit wear or serving in the classroom to help with whatever was needed. She loved adopting families at Christmas and volunteering with her fellow REALTORS to help homeowners in the community improve their properties.

Jennifer loved interior design, traveling, attending concerts, and MOST OF ALL; she LOVED mothering, celebrating, and cheering for her SONS in band, sports, and theater.

A memorial service to honor Jennifer's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Chase Oaks Church Sloan Creek Campus, 611 E Stacy Rd., Fairview, Texas 75069. A private burial will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, Texas.

Jennifer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She would like to stress the importance of early detection in the fight against colon cancer. Forty-five (45) is time for you to receive a colonoscopy to screen for a LEADING CAUSE of cancer deaths in people under fifty years of age. If you are having ANY unusual and/or new abdominal symptoms, NO MATTER YOUR AGE, you should tell your doctor immediately, do not wait!
