Jene Allen Montague

Jene Allen Montague was born October 4, 1957 in Lubbock Texas to parents Gordon and Einell Montague. Jene passed away peacefully Tuesday evening June 11, 2019; he was 61 years old.

Upon Jene’s birth the family moved from Silverton, Texas to Plainview Texas where Jene graduated from Plainview High School in 1976. He graduated with a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1980 and was an active member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

Jene and Patti, wife of 38 years, began their journey living in Silverton where Jene joined in the family farm and ranch operation. He enjoyed life in the panhandle of Texas where their two sons, Jordan Allen and Jason Price Montague were born.

Life changes brought Jene and his family to Plano, Texas and a career in Insurance Adjusting. He enjoyed the challenges and was dedicated to assisting those in need after suffering a catastrophic weather event. His work allowed him to travel to many areas in the United States. He formed lasting bonds of brotherhood with his many coworkers at EA Renfroe & Company.

Jene enjoyed tennis, golf and the great outdoors. He loved reading about and sharing his knowledge of Texas heritage.

Jene is survived by his wife Patti Cates Montague; sons Jordan Allen and Jason Price Montague; grandson Dylen Price Manly Montague; many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at The Clubs of Prestonwood, 15909 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75248.
