Lois Jeanette Easler, known to most as “Jeanie” or “Miss Jeanie” was born on May 11, 1950, in Dallas, Texas. She passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in Plano, Texas after a battle with endometrial cancer discovered in October 2024. She passed away from complications of cancer and chemotherapy.
Jeanie attended St. Pius X Catholic School, Bryan Adams High School and acquired her degree from Eastfield College. She began a career as a preschool teacher and worked her way up to Director of one of the largest non-profit day care centers in Dallas at St. Pius X Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to her children, grandkids and all the children and staff she cared for at the day care center.
She unwillingly retired in 2005 after fighting her first benign brain tumor and later lost her sight to a second brain tumor and was considered legally blind. Despite all of her medical challenges, she was such a fighter and always considered herself blessed.
She loved to travel with her best friends the Velezes and Martinezes as well as with her family; and she shared a love for Disney and the beach.
She was very creative and was always setting up fun crafts, parties and experiences to enjoy with the family. She cherished her time with family and friends. Every holiday was a huge celebration with Jeanie. She never met a stranger and the more friends, the merrier.
Jeanie was known for her kindness, big heart, selflessness and generosity. We will never forget the pure love and joy she brought into our lives, and we know she will be watching over all of us from above.
Jeanie is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Jimmie Reed Easler, and her three beloved daughters Michelle Peters and husband Alan, Wendy Rosenfeld and husband Mike, Mandy Reeves husband Jeff Reeves. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren - Allyson, Michael, William, Brynley, Olivia, Sam and Charlie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Helen Clements and her brother Charles Clements.
