Jeanette C. Wallace

Jeanette C. Wallace, age 73, was born on March 2, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles W. Cooper and Vera J. Cooper. She found her way to Phoenix, Arizona where she eventually married John Chandler Wallace on September 9, 1967 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. They later moved to Payson, Arizona and later made a home in each of the following Texas cities, from Dallas to Garland to Houston back to Garland and finally resided in Richardson, Texas. The pair had two sons, born as James C. Wallace on October 6, 1970 and Jason C. Wallace on January 9, 1974. Jeanette really loved to travel, a few of her favorite trips were to Canada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, California, Texas and Jamaica. Her son’s fondest memories of their mom, Jeanette, was that she didn’t like flying, she always had summer activities planned, such as swimming lessons and art classes, and always supported their music by taking them to private lessons and various band events. Jeanette participated in Cub Scouts as a den leader, was active with the school PTA, and helped to promote the art contests at her boys’ school. She was very interested in southwestern art and Native-American culture, and collected southwestern pottery, art, jewelery, and dolls. Jeanette was very creative; one time she made a life-sized peanut costume to promote cookie sales for cub scouts. She liked to organize and decorate and always made James and Jason’s birthday cakes from scratch. She would often become bored with furniture arrangement and would sometimes move it around when the kids got home from school. Jeanette was survived by her sons, James Chandler Wallace and his wife Kat and Jason Charles Wallace and his wife Kara, grandchildren William Seth Wallace, Ian Chandler Wallace, Eric Wallace and his wife Breann, Claire Wallace and Grace Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband John Chandler Wallace, her parents and her brothers Larry and Gary Cooper. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 30, at 1:00 pm at Plano Bible Chapel, 1900 Shiloh Rd, Plano, TX 75074.
