Jason Matthew Tidd

September 5, 1975 — October 9, 2023

Jason Mathew Tidd passed into the house of the Lord from his home in Allen, Texas on October 9, 2023.Jason was born on September 5, 1975, at Blytheville AFB, Arkansas to parents, Jim and Nancy (Verner) Tidd.

Jason became a world traveler moving first to Michigan and then to Hahn AFB in Germany.  There, with his parents living off base, he attended a German kindergarten and often helped translate German words and phrases for his parents.

Relocation to chilly Michigan and then Green Mountain, Colorado followed.  There, Jason was active in school activities including athletics, singing, and learning how to bugle for elk.  He was also a dedicated congregant at Green Mountain United Methodist Church singing in their choir and acting in pageants.

Jason’s final move was to Texas in 1988 where he completed his education at Lake Highlands High School where he met and made life-long friends.  Following graduation, he began his career in customer service, management, and marketing.

Jason’s marriage in 2002 to Bristal produced the loves of his life, Cole Mathew and Chase Hunter Tidd.  He introduced his boys to his love of golf and the beauty of the outdoors in Colorado.  They spent many happy hours there boating, fishing for trout, and of course skiing.

The wilds of Texas also called Jason where he, his boys, his many friends and his loyal dog Deuce worked and played at a ranch in Athens.

Jason also welcomed the love of two sisters, Erin and Julia Tidd, who he adored.  Jason’s love of family and friends was evident throughout his life.

Jason’s love was captured finally by Katherine Corley.  He was captivated by her grace, beauty, and charm.  She was and remains a rock of serenity and elegance.

Jason Mathew Tidd will be mourned and missed by his loving family and more friends than can be counted.  But they will be comforted knowing that he resides peacefully with family who have preceded him into the arms of Jesus and eternal life.

Jason is survived by his sons Cole Matthew and Chase Hunter Tidd; father Jim Tidd and his wife Stephanie; mother Nancy Bernosky and her husband Joe; sisters Erin and Julia Tidd; loving girlfriend Katherine Corley and his loyal dog Deuce.  Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Jason’s new life with Christ at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093.

Family will receive friends in the Fireside Room following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established an account to assist with a college fund for Cole and Chase: https://gofund.me/b0e105b1
