James (Jim) Donald Howe

September 21, 1942 — February 10, 2018

James Howe was born September 21, 1942 in Paris, Texas to the late James and Louise (England) Howe. He passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018 in Plano, Texas.

James lived in Paris, Texas with his parents and grandparents for many years and then moved to Dallas with his parents. His father was a Baptist minister. James sang in the church choir and at times, he and his brother Phil were called upon to sing solos for Sunday service.
During his younger years, he liked to ride motorcycles with his son Darrell. He also liked classic cars. While out and about on the weekends, if he came across a classic car show he would have to stop and check them out.

James met his soul mate, Lisa at an apartment complex in Plano. He was maintenance supervisor there. They soon fell in love and were married June 15th, 1996 by James’ father at the Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. The love and devotion between James and Lisa remained true and strong throughout their marriage.

James is survived by his wife Lisa Howe, step-son Christopher Rosado and his wife Julie and grandson Gavin. Son Darrell Stewart and his wife Lisa and grandson Ryan, Collin, and granddaughter Madison.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your hard-working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

We love you dearly James.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday, February 19, 2018 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options.
