Jack Redeker was born on April 14, 1938 in the town of Hominy, Oklahoma to parents William and Frances (Wetzel) Redeker.
One morning when he was six, his parents, tried to get him up out of bed but he couldn’t move. They rushed him to the hospital where they learned he had polio. The doctors told his parents that he would never walk but through determination, Jack Redeker moved from a wheelchair to crutches to walking with a limp. His Mom and Dad worked hard to give him a normal childhood.
Jack was popular in school and ended up being President of his high school class. He then went on to the University of Oklahoma and he loved OU football.
After college, Jack married Ann Foster on February 14, 1963 and they had two children, Rachael and Mike. He loved his family. He also loved helping others and coaching soccer. He provided kids in need with uniforms, rides to the games and mentoring. Jack coached The Rams Soccer Team to win the North Texas Championship.
Jack married Wilma Bishop on October 7, 1990 and raised her children, Genny and Jonathan as his own. He was encouraging and proud of all his children.
Early Christmas morning Jack was freed from his earthly bonds.
Jack Redeker is survived by his wife Wilma; children Rachael, Mike Redeker and his wife Kristen, Genny Duff and her husband Bret, Jonathan Yoder and his wife Heather Cook; grandchildren, Catherine, Nancy, Madelyn, Sydney, Ashton Wells, Dani and Jett Duff and Eric Barlow.
