Isabella De Parrales Ayala

February 7, 1922 — May 11, 2018

Isabella de Parrales Ayala, 96, passed away on May 11, 2018 at her home in Parker, Texas.
Isabel (“Chabelita”) was born on February 7, 1922 in Matagalpa, Nicaragua to Miguel Ayala Laguna and Isaura Palacio Ayala. Her family emigrated from Spain to Nicaragua in the early 1900’s, and she lived in Nicaragua until the late 1970’s, when she immigrated to the United States. She became a US Citizen in her eighties and was very proud of that accomplishment.

In the US, she lived in Louisiana, Houston and the Dallas, TX area, both working outside the home, and as a principal caregiver to many of her grandchildren and children of family friends, who all grew up to know her as “Mama”.

Isabel had a great love of God, followed by her love for her beloved family. Her favorite hobby, gardening, brought beauty into the lives of everyone. She tended to her garden with the same patience and unwavering love she had for her family, which is why everything she touched blossomed under her care. All the things she loved to do cooking, singing, praying, and reading the Bible enriched the lives of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Moises Parrales Alvear; five children, Douglas Parrales Ayala, Cesar, Jr., Miriam, Cesarito, and Perlita; two grandchildren, Damien Danos and Bert Jr. Danos; and seven of her eight siblings, Josephina, Rafaela, Cristina, Carolina, Antonio, Miguel , and Luis.

She is survived in life by her sister, Socorro Mejia; by five children, Ruby Danos (husband – Bert), Allan Parrales (Claudia), Cesar Parrales, Perla Brumleve (Jim), and Moises Parrales; eighteen grandchildren, Carla Burke, Desmond Danos, Lisa Brown, Leslie Harding, Jeanne Tallmadge, Erica Parrales-Cavanaugh, Ashley Cavanaugh, James (J.D.) Brumleve, Allen Parrales, Bryant Parrales, Mitchell Parrales, Annette Donahue, Douglas Parrales, Jairo Parrales, Moises Parrales, Jamilet Parrales, Raquel Parrales, and Jasmina Parrales; sixteen great-grandchildren, Connor Burke, Taylor Burke, Damien Bulkeley, Allie Tallmadge, Bryce Tallmadge, Catherine Tallmadge, Christopher Lathan, Jennifer Hons, Natalie Hardin, Amanda Lee Thrall, Brian Michael Powell, Isabella Danos, Allie Stanley, Ava Danos, Brynlee Danos, and Jolie Danos; and five great-great grandchildren, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Isabel led a selfless life, always thinking of others needs before her own, perhaps because she was just a child when she lost her parents and instinctually stepped into the role of caring for her siblings. She chose a life of servitude, first to God then to others. Her family was blessed to have her for such a long, full healthy life. We can honor her by speaking kindlier, comforting each other, praying for one another, and praising God for giving us the gift of her love.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Isabella’s life will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options. Isabella will be laid to rest following the service at Plano Mutual Cemetery.
