Isaac Edward Craven

August 16, 2007 — March 13, 2023

Isaac Edward Craven, 15, of Prosper, sadly left us and went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 13, 2023. He was born on August 16, 2007 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He moved with his family to Texas in 2009 at two years of age.

Isaac looked up to his older brother, Thurston, and was caring and protective of his younger brother, Nate, who made his grand entrance on the day of Isaac’s 4th birthday party. Isaac, along with Thurston and his Grandpa, soldiered through and pulled off that birthday party on their own. That is Isaac Craven.

Isaac was brilliantly smart, and began to show his aptitude from an early age for building things and engineering. He was building elaborate Minecraft worlds and advanced Lego sets when he was only 4 years old. That is Isaac Craven.

Over the years, Isaac had many interests, including soccer, little league baseball, martial arts, scouts, the GT program, UIL, and National Junior Honor Society. During his 2015 little league season with the Prosper Athletics, Isaac came down with a 103 fever the night of the championship game but refused to leave the dugout in support of his teammates. That is Isaac Craven.

Isaac attended Rucker and Windsong Elementaries, Rushing and Reynolds Middle Schools, and Prosper High School. Isaac excelled in school, particularly in Math, Science, and Engineering. He expressed interest in becoming an Aerospace Engineer. More recently, Isaac became interested in health and fitness and also joined the Prosper Competitive Shooting Team. He was focused on self-improvement, whether it be hitting the gym regularly, or excelling at hitting his targets on the range. Isaac not only wanted to improve himself, he influenced those around him, including his close friends, peers, gaming community, teachers, coaches, and family with his intelligence, humor, and positivity. Whether it was his clever wit, sly smile, or infectious laugh, he is hard to forget. That is Isaac Craven.

Isaac is survived by his loving parents, mother Rebecca, father Jerry and step-mom Lisa, his brothers Thurston and Nate, along with step-siblings Mia and Mason, grandparents Darrell and Carol Hill, and Ann Craven. He also had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Ron Craven.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Allen Family Funeral Options.

A Celebration of Isaac’s life will be held at Allen Family Funeral Options, 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, with Pastor Robert Matthews officiating. If you wish to join the service via webcast, please visit: Isaac Edward Craven (funeralvue.com)

Isaac will be laid to rest in a private family burial at Cottage Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have been shown during their time of need.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Isaac’s life to the Grant Halliburton Foundation: https://www.granthalliburton.org/donate . Their mission is to strengthen the network of mental health resources for children, teens, and young adults; promote better mental health; and prevent suicide.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than your selves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Phil. 2:3-4
