Imelda Hipona Bayani of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the age of 71. Surrounded by her loved ones, Imelda left us with the same grace and quiet strength that defined her entire life.
A dedicated professional, Imelda was a Certified Public Accountant in both the Philippines and the United States, enjoying a distinguished career spanning over 40 years. While she was highly respected for her technical expertise and automation skills, her colleagues will most remember her for her infectious laughter and the genuine friendliness she brought to the workplace.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Imelda was a woman who never met a stranger. She possessed a rare gift for turning a first meeting into a lasting friendship and had a unique ability to brighten any room she entered. As the ultimate host, she expressed her love through food, famously ensuring that no one ever left her table anything less than "beyond full." Always ready with a quick laugh and a warm smile, she made every family gathering feel like a true celebration.
Imelda was the heart and anchor of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Oscar; daughter, Stephanie; and her younger siblings. Her memory will be cherished by a wide circle of friends and a large extended family who saw her as a constant source of light. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and older brother.
A funeral mass to honor Imelda’s life and legacy will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Plano, Texas.
