Henry graduated from Independence High School and later earned his associate degree from Collin College in Frisco, Texas. He was smart, reliable, and endlessly curious, always eager to learn about the things that captured his interests - especially IT, finance, and science.

Though naturally quiet and reserved, Henry had a kind heart, a fun sense of humor, and an adventurous spirit. He found peace in nature and loved spending time outdoors, whether hiking trails, kayaking across lakes in North Texas, or exploring with his loyal German Shepherd, Miller by his side. He also loved reading, traveling, and discovering new foods and beers, especially German cuisine.

Some of Henry’s happiest moments were spent traveling, particularly his solo trips to Rocky Mountain National Park near Denver, Colorado - a place whose beauty and calm reflected so much of who he was.

To those who knew and loved him, Henry will be remembered for his intelligence, his curiosity, his quiet presence, and the love he carried for his family. He could be a bit of a troublemaker at times, but he was also loving son, a supportive brother, and someone who brought laughter and warmth to the people closest to him.

Henry is survived by his father, Henry R. Chevez; his mother, Oneida A. Chavez; his sister, Erika De Anda (Chevez); his brother, Jonathan Chevez; his grandmother, Rosa A. Chevez; and his brother-in-law, Adrian De Anda. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Though his time with us was far too short, Henry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Henry’s life at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options. The family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service.
