Guy Carlton Mcmahan

Guy Carlton McMahan was born September 12, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas to parents Carlton and Kay (Evans) McMahan.

Guy grew up in Richardson, attending First Baptist Church Richardson and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Richardson High School in 1978 and attended Texas Tech University.

Guy married the love of his life, Claire, on June 4, 2005, and they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Meg, a few years later. Guy was a fun-loving and incredibly involved husband and dad who adored his wife and daughter. He was a patient dad who devoted his time to Meg, ensuring she had the right values and morals, and committed many hours to teaching her the game of basketball, which they both loved. He always made time for his family.

For the last 15 years, Guy cherished his time working alongside his brother, Greg, and sister-in-law, Julie at their business, Tidy Waves Aquarium Service. During that time, Guy developed many professional relationships that became valued friendships.

Guy’s presence filled the room, and we were all so blessed to have had him in our lives. He leaves behind a legacy of a life well lived, lots of laughter with a large dose of sarcasm and his deep love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Claire and daughter Meg; mother Kay Hughlett and her husband L'Dean; brother Greg McMahan and his wife Julie; sister Krisinda Smith and her husband Chris; many loving in laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Carlton McMahan.
