Greg Wheeler

Robert Gregory (Greg) Wheeler was born July 31, 1963 in Corsicana, Texas to parents Robert Brooks and Dora Lue (Stephenson) Wheeler.

Greg grew up in Carrollton and was an Eagle Scout. He attended Newman Smith High School where he played football. Upon graduation he attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He was an active member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity where his claim to fame was representing the fraternity at Sig Ep fight night.

He worked for a number of companies over his 32-year sales career, that include Swagelok, Texas Valve & Fitting, Nilfisk, Basler and PCB Piezotronics.

Greg and Karen have two children, Karli and Cody. He often said his greatest accomplishment was his children. He participated in all of their activities growing up. Indian Princesses, Indian Guides, coaching soccer, softball and baseball. He supported the Allen Tallenettes Dads Work Crew and the Allen Football Tunnel Crew. He participated whenever he had an opportunity.

He loved to spend time at his family’s farm in Corsicana. His biggest past time was fishing. He would fish lakes, ponds, stock tanks, the Gulf of Mexico. He didn’t care whether he caught anything or not. It was just about the fishing. Most summers the family went to the beach under the auspices of enjoying the beach life. Greg secretly went for the fishing.

Greg is survived by his wife of 26 years Karen Wheeler, daughter Karli Wheeler, son Cody Wheeler, cousin Lue Anne Ritter, brothers/sisters-in-law - Craig Price, Susie Hartshorne, Jeff Hartshorne, nieces/nephews - Lindsey Price, Mitch Hartshorne, Stephanie Rodgers (Tim), Hayden Price, and Matt Hartshorne.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
