Gloria Hazelton

May 20, 1940 — March 21, 2022

Gloria Marlene Abrams Hazelton while bravely battling complications from Covid passed away on March 21, 2022. She was born May 20, 1940 to parents Peggy and Montie Abrams in Los Angeles, California.
Gloria's family was her sole focus, and she worried over and took care of them until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. She raised three children on her own, one with special needs until she met Clifford Hazelton. They were married for over 40 years and managed to merge to families together and have two of their own.
She was a fierce woman – holding fast to her beliefs, defending those she loved, and always seeking to better herself. She served countless church missions and had many church callings and preached gods word to anyone that had ears. Gloria would donate to young men's mission funds and help anyone who was willing to do the lords work.  She made her home welcoming to anyone who needed a place to stay and would treat everyone with respect and kindness and without judgment.
In her spare time she loved to sew and read and was extremely passionate and tirelessly worked on genealogy.
She was a lawyer with a PHD who never lost a case, a nurse who tirelessly cared for those who could not care for them selves and a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word. She spoke Spanish and a little Russian too.
To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement. She was thoughtful, kind and always calling to check on you and yours. We were grateful and blessed to know of her love and love her back. She left a massive imprint on every heart she knew. She was a kind soul who always offered encouraging words and sound advice. She was as brilliant as she was beautiful.
Gloria is survived by her loving daughters Claudia Cochran, Gayle Gonzalez and Susannah Robertson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; daughters, Katie and Stephanie; and her son, Monte.
A visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am on Monday, March 28, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fairview, Texas at 651 E. Stacy Road.  Her final resting place will be at Fitzhugh Cemetery (AKA Forest Grove Cemetery) in Lucas Texas.
