Glenda Ellen Wallace Adian was born on October 24, 1947, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the daughter of Jack Smith Wallace and Myrtle Corena Woodson Wallace. Her father, a part-time preacher and construction worker, moved the family frequently for work. As a result, Glenda attended more than twenty-four schools throughout her childhood. She graduated from Odessa Ector High School in 1965, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and determination that would define her life.
In 1967, Glenda married her high school sweetheart, James Kennith Adian. Together they built a loving home and shared fifty-nine years of devotion. She is survived by her daughter, Shana Lynette Adian Muzyka, and son-in-law, John Paul Muzyka, and by her treasured grandsons, Ethan Christopher Muzyka and Ryan Matthew Muzyka. She is also survived by her niece, Tiffany Bell and great-niece Maddy Mannschreck. All of whom brought her endless pride and joy.
Glenda was deeply dedicated to her family. She poured her heart into creating meaningful traditions, through family gatherings, birthday meals, and special celebrations. She loved making memories with her grandchildren and rarely missed an opportunity to support them—faithfully. She attended their sporting events cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride. Her love for family was steadfast, generous, and central to her life.
She is also survived by her sister, Rena May Wallace Shelton, and her husband, Don Shelton, of Monahans, Texas, and by her brother, Darrell Wayne Wallace. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Faye Wallace.
Glenda was known as an exceptional organizer and communicator, always working tirelessly to help others. She lived by the motto, “If it is worth doing, it must be done right,” A principle she carried into every aspect of her life.
Professionally, Glenda served as an executive administrator for top executives in the computer industry, where she retired. Glenda was an avid collector of cobalt blue depression glass and Precious Moments figurines and thus enjoyed seeing the pieces displayed throughout her home. Many vacations were spent searching for these treasured pieces.
Glenda will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong work ethic, her generous spirit, and her commitment to excellence. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched with her dedication, kindness, and grace.
