Glenda Lane Ashley, wife and mother of two children, joined our God on September 23, 2021 at the age of 79 in McKinney, Texas.
She was born on September 10, 1942 to Glen and Sylvia (Baldwin) Lane. She graduated from Carrier Mills High School in 1960. She attended Southern Illinois University where she met and married her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Ashley. She received her BS degree in mathematics from Washington State University in 1965. Glenda and Ken reared their two sons, Michael and Marcus in Commerce, Texas, home of Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Glenda was a lifelong learner. She earned a degree in accounting while rearing her children. Later, she received her MS Degree in Chemistry. She attended various courses in Religion taught at the Church of Christ Bible Chair.
She lived a full life with her family and friends and as a member of her church. She was known for being a true friend. When greeted she responded with a smile and bright eyes. She always listened to what a person was saying and responded to them.
Glenda Lane Ashley is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary. She is survived by her husband and sons as well as four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00am on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Crosspoint Church, 2101 S. Stonebridge Drive, McKinney, TX 75070. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be LiveStreamed at: https://www.youtube.com/c/CrosspointChurchMcKinney
