George H. Mohrmann

On November 9, 2021, George H. Mohrmann passed away at the age of 67. George was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on September 17, 1954, to Harry and Lona (Doss) Mohrmann.

George was the middle of three children, and from a very early age, worked hard to provide for his family. George graduated from Classen High School in 1973.

In 1985 he moved to Plano, Texas, with his family. Shortly after, he began his career with MCI/WorldCom/Verizon. He worked hard and enjoyed his career and the people he worked with. Several of his co-workers would become lifelong friends. When he was not traveling for work, he enjoyed spending time with his family. You would often find him in the kitchen, on the grill, or frying up something delicious. Anything he created was a culinary treat. He loved having an excuse to cook for others. George was also a very talented carpenter. He always worked on the house, added a new space, or worked on his yard and garden.

George's favorite place to be was out on the water fishing. He truly lived up to the saying, "I've gone fishing." He enjoyed his favorite pastime with friends, whether it was sitting on Lake Tawakoni or out in the ocean. His family enjoyed the benefits of what he caught and enjoyed a good fish fry after.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Hale; niece, Shannon Wrye and nephew, Doug Hale. George is survived by daughter, Natalie Nenovich (Corey) of Frisco, TX; daughter, Bridget Mohrmann of Plano, TX; son, Jared Mohrmann (Holly) of Celina, TX; five grandchildren; brother, Robert Mohrmann; longtime girlfriend, Paula Wege and great-niece, Jenna Wrye.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Allen Family Funeral Options. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX  75013. All are welcome at both.
