Frank Mitchell Bireley, 63, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 8, 1961 in San Francisco, California, the son of Frank W. and Betty (Mitchell) Bireley. The Bireley Family lived in Los Angeles, California before relocating to Darien, Connecticut for the remainder of Frank’s teen years.

Frank went on to attend the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida for 2 years, before transferring to the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1985. Frank worked in media and marketing prior to establishing Frank Bireley Insurance in 1990. Frank spent his career in insurance, building treasured connections with other agents and clients alike.

Beyond work, Frank dedicated his time to supporting his community. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels, delivering over 1000 meals to Dallas County residents from 2009 until his passing. Frank carried on the charitable spirit of the Bireley Foundation, donating to numerous causes including cancer research and support, women’s shelters, food banks, animal rescues, and youth and family centers.

Frank married Nancy Naranjo Bireley on September 28, 1994 in Cali, Colombia, before they began their life together in Dallas, Texas. They resided in North Texas until his passing, having recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Frank was a loving and proud father to his two daughters, constantly present and devoted in every stage of their lives, offering unwavering support and guidance.

Frank was known for his humor and sense of curiosity. He loved sharing jokes with his family and friends, staging funny photos, as well as watching movies old and new. Frank was an avid runner, having run over 170 marathons across various states, countries, and continents, including Aruba, Italy, Germany, Japan, and Cuba. Upon completion of his 6th World Marathon Major in Tokyo in 2019, Frank was one of less than 5000 runners globally to enter the Six Star Finisher Hall of Fame. He was a cherished member of the Dallas Galloway running group for over 10 years. Frank planned to acquire his Seventh Star in Sydney, Australia in August 2025. Frank’s hobbies also included watching and playing tennis, traveling, and reading.

Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy N. Bireley; his children Emily Bireley and Allison Bireley; his brother Roger Bireley and sister-in-law Aimee, nieces and nephews, and his beloved cats and dog. Preceding Frank in death are his parents Frank W. and Betty Bireley, and his father-in-law Alvaro Naranjo Hurtado.

He was a wonderful husband, dad, brother, in-law, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Frank will be remembered as someone who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
