William Frank Bain, a beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away on April 25, 2023, at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas.
Frank was born on November 3, 1933 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late William and Mary Ada Bain. He grew up in Shreveport and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, then served in the U.S. Army. Frank went on to have a successful career in advertising, ultimately starting his own firm.
However, it was his dedication to his faith that defined him. For nearly 40 years, Frank devoted his life to renewing the Christian faith of thousands of people around the world through programs like Cursillo, Happening, New Beginnings, and the School of Spirituality. He equipped a community of leaders in the church and in the world to live more faithfully, generously, and lovingly.
Frank will be remembered for his unshakable faith, his sense of humor, his devotion to his family, and his commitment to helping others. He had a magnetic personality that drew people to him, and he was deeply loved by many. Although he will be missed, his legacy of faith, joy, and generosity will live on.
Frank is survived by his children, David Bain and his wife Rosemary, Lisa Bain Carlton and her husband Bob, as well as his grandchildren, Mary Mendiola and her husband Jason, Stephen Bain, Michael Bain, and Katie Carlton. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Harriet Kay Bain.
A funeral mass for Frank will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, 1:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Rd, Dallas, Texas, officiated by Rev. Ryan Hiaeshutter.
Frank will be laid to rest with his wife at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
