Frank “Ace” Acinger August 12, 1938 – June 18, 2019 Frank “Ace” Acinger, 80, of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 18, 2019. He was born on August 12, 1938 to Frank and Mary (Frankovich) Acinger and grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Frank married the love of his life, Judy, and they were together for 55 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle. He enjoyed playing golf, watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time with friends and making people laugh. Ace’s career moved them all over the country where they met many great lifelong friends that they cherish. They settled in Texas and lived in Plano and McKinney for the last 37 years. Ace is survived by their two children Alan Acinger and his wife Sonja and daughter Nancy Barber and her husband Steve grandchildren Allison, Stephanie and Anderson; sisters Barbara Zurga and Bernadette West and brother John Acinger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and his father and mother. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 6-8pm at Allen Family Funeral Options. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas. Ace will be laid to rest next to Judy at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium. A reception will follow the service in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ace’s memory to either the Men’s Club or the building of the new Church at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church to honor his faith.
