Fran Waller Deen

September 3, 1931 — October 7, 2023

Long-time Plano realtor Fran Waller Deen died on October 7, 2023, at the age of 92. Over a 47-year career, Fran sold homes to thousands of Collin County residents, many of whom became life-long friends.

Fran was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and graduated from Western College in Oxford, Ohio. She married Jerry Deen in 1954, and together they raised four children. Fran began her real estate career in 1976 after the family moved to Plano.  As the area grew, Fran’s business also grew, and she earned numerous awards that reflected her success.

Fran’s enthusiasm for life was evident through her varied interests: books, travel, golf, genealogy, Republican Party politics, the Texas Rangers and more. One of her proudest possessions was her membership card to the Shawnee Tribe. She often joked that her Dr Pepper habit contributed to her longevity. Because she was an only child, Fran’s greatest wish is that her family be close-knit.

Fran is survived by her children: Holly Alexander (and husband Dave); Donna Deen; Michael Deen (and partner Stephanie Strangis); and Andy Deen (and wife Marcy); seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., at Allen Family Funeral Options.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society:
