Eddie Mendoza, Jr.

August 30, 1965 — November 18, 2025

Allen, Texas

Eddie Mendoza Jr., 60, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, while on the road. At the time of his passing, he resided in Allen, Texas.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Eddie moved to Baytown, Texas in 1981, where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Lisa. After building a successful career in the banking and credit union industry as Director of Operations, he later followed a new path into trucking, a profession he devoted himself to for 20 years.

Eddie was a man defined as loving and compassionate. Strong-willed, outgoing, and always the life of the party, whether it was his party or not. He loved hosting family gatherings, grilling out on the patio, and listening to music. He worried deeply about those he cared for and would give the shirt off his back without any hesitation. Eddie would find joy in keeping busy, whether it was tending to the yard, working on “honey-do lists,” or creating a home filled with comfort, laughter, and love.

To his family, Eddie was a foundation of strength, comfort, and guidance. His humor, playful spirit, and gentle heart created memories that will be cherished for generations. His love for his wife, son, and grandchildren was immeasurable, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

Eddie leaves behind a legacy of generosity, loyalty, and unwavering love. The void is still hard to grasp. He was an individual who we thought would be around for much longer. His family will continue to carry his spirit in their hearts, honoring him through the lives he shaped and the love he shared so freely.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Mendoza; his son, Edward “Trey” Mendoza, and daughter-in-law, Crystal; and his five cherished grandchildren—Christopher, Analicia, Sadie, Bella, and Jacob. They were the pride and joy of his life, his legacy. Eddie is also survived by his parents, Eddie Sr. and Aurora Mendoza; Mary and her husband Alan Sharp; his siblings, Minnette, Vania, Monica, and Todd. In addition, he forged lifelong friendships that he cherished and who adored him and were touched by his kindness.

He was preceded in death by his older sister Edie; cousin Steve, whom he loved like a brother, and held a special place in his heart. In addition to his immediate siblings and beloved family, he forged lifelong friendships who adored him and were touched by his kindness.
