Dr Graham S Palmer was born May 3, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Ralph Graham and Ruth (Axtell) Palmer. He passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home in Mc Kinney, Texas.
Graham grew up in Midwest. He attended William & Mary University where he participated in track & field and football. He then served in the Army and fought in the Korean War where he was honored for his service.
After the service, he completed medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. He practiced both general medicine and orthopedic surgery in many places in Texas and Oklahoma throughout his long career. He had a love for the outdoors, reading and archeology. While a reserved man, his stories of his travels and experiences could entertain for hours.
Graham is survived by his daughter Terri Lee Stump and her husband Eric of Midland, Texas; son Sandy Palmer and his wife Terri of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Ainslee and Sabrina Palmer; sister Marianne Janowicz and loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dorothy Faye Thames.
A memorial service to celebrate Graham’s life will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas officiated by David Blaylock.
