William Douglas May was born June 5, 1950 in Hereford, Texas to parents Melvin and Lea (Murphy) May.

After college he began a farming career eventually farming in several panhandle counties. Doug was involved with many businesses, including Moore County Cotton Gin, Carson County Cotton Gin as well as Amarillo Cotton Warehouse.  Doug and Shera enjoyed traveling and spending time with Coby.

Doug was loved by many and we will miss him very much. The family wants to share their many thanks to his neighbors and Yarnell.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Shera May; son Coby May; grandchildren Madison Barker, Mazzy Morrison and Jhett Hutcherson; siblings Rick May and his wife Judy, Teresa Andrews and her husband Max, Randy Davis and his wife Lynn, Mike Davis and his wife Terry and Kim Brown and her husband Brooks; sister in law Gay Harris; nieces and nephews Mark May and his wife Lori, Chris May and his wife Heath, Tyler, Kelsey and Austin Andrews, Shayla Schuman and her husband Jay, Shandi Packebush and her husband Dayton, Lexi Davis, Shayne Johnson and his wife Tina, Dillon Johnson and Bali Brown. Chad Harris and his wife Katy and Brandon Harris and his wife Jayde. He was preceded in death by his father Melvin May and mothers Lea and Edna May; son Lance Morrison; brother in law Glen Harris;

The family will be hosting a private celebration of Doug’s life at a later date.
