Doris Janette Grossi

In loving memory of Doris Janette Grossi of Dallas, Texas, who passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her home. She was born on October 29, 1938, in Ventura, California, to the late Virgil and Lucy Rentfrow.

Today we celebrate the life of Doris Grossi, or—as we affectionately called her—GG. GG led her life with faith, love, and laughter, and charmed everyone she met with her warmth and playfulness. She loved making people laugh and wanted to make their day better, which she did.

Doris also built a successful and fulfilling career in sales at John Hancock, where she excelled for many years and formed lasting relationships through her dedication, integrity, and genuine care for others.

She will be remembered as our amazing GG who was always there when you needed her. She loved going to the beach, reading Scriptures from her beloved Bible, and leading Bible groups for others who were searching for hope. She also couldn’t pass a See’s Candies store without stopping.

There will be a void in our hearts, but she is finally in the arms of her Savior.

Doris is survived by her son Scott Grossi and daughter-in-law Gaye; daughter Sandy Bruce and son-in-law Victor; son Jon Grossi and daughter-in-law Jennifer; and grandchildren Jenna Grossi, Karlie Grossi, Brianna Bruce, Paige Grossi, Ava Grossi, and Asher Grossi. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lucy; and brother, Richard Rentfrow.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10-12:00 (noon), Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

A celebration of life will be at Akers Cemetery, Sherman, Texas, at 2:00 p.m.
