In the heat of the late summer Texas sun, Billy Don Rowe (age 72) peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on September 4, 2023, after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia.
Don, as he was fondly called, was survived by his wife of over 50 years, Cindy Rowe, and his daughter Ashley Keller, son-in-law Josh Keller and two grandsons, Nixon and Everett.
He was born in Brownfield, Texas and raised in Baird, Texas where he learned to be a cowboy and met his high school sweetheart and future wife.
Don started his business, Star Printing, in the heart of downtown McKinney, Texas where he thrived as a local business owner for over 25 years. He often employed people hard-on-their-luck or who needed second chances. He believed his purpose in life was to help other people.
Don’s life centered around exploring the passions that brought joy to his life. His hobbies included cycling, Jeeps, woodworking, guns-and-ammo, photography, fishing, camping, you name it. He’s never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything, anytime.
May his soul rest in peace, he was a good one.
There will be An Evening of Remembrance from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, at Allen Family Funeral Options. Refreshments will be served.
