Diane Newton

Diane Newton was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 14, 1955.  She was born shortly after her twin Dorothy Newton.  Diane passed away unexpectedly, early Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in the ER, Medical City McKinney.

Diane attended Wheelock Elementary School, J.T. Hutchinson Junior High School, and graduated from Monterey High School in 1973.

She followed her twin Dorothy to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1993.  She has lived in Frisco, Aubrey, Dallas, and Melissa, Texas.

She started working with State Farm Insurance on May 18, 1987, in the Lubbock Service Center as a claim service assistant.  She then moved to work processing until 1993 when she moved to the Audelia Claims Office as a mail/file clerk.  In 1994 she moved to the Dallas Operations Center as a work processing operator.  She ended her career as a claims associate on July 31, 2017, after 30 years with State Farm.

Diane was a faithful Christian since her early teens and read the Bible frequently. She enjoyed finding better ways to study the bible. She was a member of Custer Road Church of Christ (formerly Melrose Church of Christ).

She was predeceased by both her parents, Clifford E. Newton and Loree Newton.  She is survived by her loving sisters: her twin Dorothy Newton and her older sister, Kay Newton and many loving cousins and friends.

An Afternoon of Remembrance will be held at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano Texas on Saturday, October 9, from 3:30 - 5:30.

She will be laid to rest in Lubbock, Texas at Resthaven Cemetery.
