Diane J Grefer

Diane Jones Grefer was born January 10, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio to parents Perry and Gloria (Frank) Jones. Our beloved wife and mother passed away June 23, 2018 after a 9-year battle with ovarian cancer.

The family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida when Diane was 12 years old. She graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School and Broward College. She met her husband Mark at a University of Florida football game and they enjoyed 37 years of marriage that produced two practically perfect daughters. She was an avid volunteer in community service and a proud member of the Junior League of Plano for 27 years.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Fine and his staff for 9 extra years that allowed Diane to see her daughters graduate from college, a wedding and the birth of her first grandchild. We would also like to thank the nurses at Faith Hospice for their extraordinary care of Diane in her final weeks. They treated her like she was their family.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Mark Grefer, daughters Laura Gouldin and her husband Collin and Michelle Grefer and her fiancé Austin Spence, grandson James Gouldin, sister Sandy Barton and her husband David, brother Tom Jones and his wife Jaime, nieces and nephews Erin and Todd Barton, Tommy and Craig Jones and many loving friends.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023 with The Reverend Bruce Bradly, Celebrant.

Diane will be laid to rest at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Columbarium. There will be a reception immediately following the service.
