Dennis C. Hogan

October 14, 1929 — June 18, 2020

Dennis C Hogan, 90, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 in Plano Texas. He was born October 14, 1929 to Dennis and Mary Hogan in Newark New Jersey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Edith Hogan.

After graduating from Seton Hall University, he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Roanoke (CL145) during the Korean War.

After his naval service Dennis met the love of his life, Edith A Keane, and was married on August 20, 1955.

After several years of Sales and Management positions in the “corporate world”, in 1980 he founded his own company, Dennis Hogan and Associates, Inc. He remained active in the company until his retirement in December, 2013.

In 1989, Dennis and Edith moved from Dallas to McKinney Texas. While in McKinney, Dennis served on the McKinney Planning Committee for McKinney’s 150 th Birthday celebration. He was also past chairman of the McKinney Historic Building Preservation Board, the McKinney Building Standards Commission Board and the McKinney Community Concert Association. He also served on the Board of Directors of the historic Pecan Grove Cemetery Association where he assisted in planning the annual McKinney Memorial Day celebration.

While living in McKinney he was an active member of St Michael Catholic Church in McKinney and was involved in various ministries at the church. After moving back to Dallas, he was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Plano.

Dennis always had a smile on his face and enjoyed spending time with all the friends he had made at the Highland Springs community. He enjoyed talking with others and was often the last person to leave The Grill each night at Highland Springs.

Dennis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Eileen Karpeles and her husband Hugh, daughter Nancy Bowsher, four grandchildren, Dennis Bowsher and his wife Brooke, Devon Isaacs and her husband Phillip, Taylor Bowsher, Tracey Bowsher and five great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas.  The church and family request that all who attend wear masks.  Those who cannot attend in person may view the service via the following link:
