Dennis (Buster) Bennett

May 31, 1929 — January 26, 2021

Dennis Eugene (Buster) Bennett, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, after a courageous battle with COVID-19 Pneumonia. He was much loved, and he will be greatly missed.

Buster was born on May 31, 1929 and grew up in Donna, Texas. He was the youngest of four children of Robert and Stella Bennett. He grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Donna. In high school he ran track and played football. He had a lot of fond memories spending time with his high school buddies.

After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force and while stationed in England decided to come back to marry his high school sweetheart, Vivian Agan. They were stationed in England for two years where their first child, Kyle Bennett, was born.

Buster lived a very active life. Because of his early childhood experiences, he always had an interest in livestock and farming. His working career involved working in both of those fields that interested him. Buster loved sports and was huge fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. After retirement he and his wife traveled the U.S. in their RV. He enjoyed gardening, grilling, playing golf, fishing, and living life to its fullest traveling in almost all 48 contiguous states.

Buster is survived by his loving daughter Vicki Plinario (Gary), son Kevin Bennett (Martha), and daughter-in-law Brenda Ragusin. He loved his grandchildren Cindy Carnes, Cassandra Garcia (IV), Sarah Price (James), Zachary Plinario (Amanda) and Jacob Bennett (Adrianna). He also loved his precious great grandchildren Taylor Williams, Isaiah Price, Haden Price, Ella Garcia, Ava Garcia, Lucas Plinario Olivia Price, Scarlett Bennett, Benjamin Plinario, Connor Plinario and Chloe Bennett.  He is preceded in death by his much-loved wife Vivian Bennett, son Kyle Bennett and grandson Kelly Carnes.

There will be a graveside service with military honors, Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas.  Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. and gather in lane 3.
