Denise Marie (Lopez) Pelletier was born October 6, 1956, in El Paso, Texas to parents Pedro and Carmen (Chavez) Lopez.

She was born into a military family. With her father being in the Army, during her childhood and teens she lived in several places including California, France and Germany.

Denise finished high school in El Paso as her father was stationed there once again. Shortly after high school she met her husband Joe, and after only 3 months of dating, Joe asked her father for her hand in marriage. Her father thought he was joking but soon realized how serious he was and agreed to give his blessing if they would wait one year. They almost made it as 51 weeks later, as they married on February 7, 1976.

Joe knew he had found his lifelong love and soulmate and they were married for 46 years with two beautiful and successful children; Joseph and Jennifer. Over their last nine years of marriage, the Lord continued to bless them with seven wonderful grandchildren that range in age from 3 to 9 years old.

Denise loved everybody she ever became friends with. Friends were like family, and she was the kindest, most thoughtful person that God has placed on this earth. She loved her work as she loved her friends and family, with passion. She loved to travel and lived a vibrant, fun life in every one of her 65 years on this earth.

She was a Collin County Aggie Mom (Gig ‘em!) and cherished everything and everyone in that group. At her passing she was working for AMN Healthcare and though she was there less than 2 years, she loved her job and touched many people there with her kindness and friendship.

Denise will always be remembered for her smile, passion, kindness and love and she lives on in the hearts of anybody that ever knew her.

Denise is survived by her loving husband Joe Pelletier; children Dr Joseph Pelletier and his wife Elizabeth and Jennifer (Pelletier) Dunnam and her husband Keith; grandchildren Zooey, Ford, Zelda and Zephyr Pelletier and Mimi, Warren and Poppy Dunnam; parents Pedro and Carmen Lopez; siblings Linda Poss and her husband Galen, Ron Lopez and his wife Krista and JoAnn Berkoff and her husband Russ; brothers and sisters in law Maureen Fuentes, Rosanne Allen and her husband Greg, Charmaine McQuaide and her husband Dennis, Kelly Pelletier and Patrick Pelletier and his wife Lisa.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother in law Joseph and Tish Pelletier and brother in law Zach Fuentes.

There will be a memorial mass Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas with The Rev. Bruce Bradley officiating.  If you wish to view the memorial mass via webcast, please visit: https://youtu.be/2JtNUrGpW_c
