Denise Ellis

Denise Ruth Ellis passed away on April 19, 2024, surrounded by her children, after a five and a half year battle with cancer, Born and raised in Piggott, Arkansas, Denise spent the last 35 years of her life in Dallas, Texas raising her four children.

Denise had a larger than life personality and was always helping in the community as much as she could. She will be remembered as a strong, caring woman who carried herself with grace. She undoubtedly put her children and grandchildren above all else. She loved being able to take trips with her family in her final years and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Denise led both her high school and college (Arkansas State University) bands as head majorette for several years. Denise spent most of her professional career as a Speech Pathologist and loved every minute she got to spend with her kids in the classroom. Her profession and the kids brought so much joy to her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty & Joe Litzelfelner, along with her brother, Joe Litzelfelner, Jr., sister in law, Janet Litzelfelner, and niece , Celeste Litzelfelner. She is survived by her four children; Michael Ellis, Max Ellis, Myles Ellis, Mallory (Chris) Raleigh; 2 grandchildren: Benjamin & Madison Raleigh; siblings Jill (Vic) Zanetti, Holly (John) Sasiadek, Todd Litzelfelner and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Denise’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Allen Family Funeral Options.
