Denise (Dee) Brewster was born December 12, 1967 passed away June 27, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. The loss runs deep and it hurts but the love and what she has left with us is even greater.
Dee was born in Meriden, Connecticut. She married her husband Forrest (Chip) Brewster on July 27, 1996 in Connecticut where they had a "Texas Style" wedding - boots, hats, and all foretelling where they would eventually settle. Both were free spirits and full of adventure.
They moved to Florida then moved to Texas. Dee's son from a previous marriage, Frankie Smith, moved with them. Their son Blake was born in Carrollton, Texas. Dee was always a positive force. Her connection with nature and the beautiful side of life was shown in the way she decorated her home and how she would create beautiful handmade floral displays using things that could remain displayed for years.
Dee had an incredible sense of organization. She worked for many years in the aviation industry managing employee schedules, benefits, and company operations. She worked in the food industry as a bookkeeper for a small business. Everywhere she worked she saw what needed to be done and figured out the best way to get it done.
Above all else, she was a mother, wife, partner and best friend. Dee loved her family. She loved her children, Frankie and Blake. She was a fighter for her children in pushing them to grow and develop while at the same time tempering this energy with a loving understanding that allowed them to make their own decisions. Her relationship with her husband, Forrest was one of great love and understanding. From the very beginning they were constantly testing each other in ways that many watching would think they were going to part ways yet, they always came back together and the bar for their marriage moved higher. Everyone could see the love, hear the words of love and feel the love they had for each other.
Most recently, over the past seven years they built a successful business; Forrest Small Engine Repair. Dee ran everything behind the scenes and Forrest handled the customer demands. This partnership was inspired by their overwhelming desire to do things together.
Throughout their marriage they loved making friends. They especially loved being with friends at cookouts, attending parties, and whenever possible traveling to be with family.
In addition to many friends, Dee leaves behind her loving husband Forrest (Chip) of almost 25 years; her son Frankie (30) of Abilene, Texas; son Blake (19) and sister Kim, both of Plano, Texas; brother Bruce of Maine; and brother Danny of Connecticut, plus her loving dog Hunter.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Dee’s life on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.
