David John Roddy, 69, of Garland, Texas passed away on September 5, 2022, in Carrolton, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Harold and Mary Roddy.

He married Julie Choina Roddy on July 12, 1986, in Marrero, Louisiana. They moved to Garland, Texas in 1985 where Dave continued a career that he truly cherished. Dave was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle to his family. He went by the name of “Mr. Dave” for his son and all his sons’ friends as he was so well respected. He was an avid football fan, especially when it came to the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He also had a great love of cooking. He was loved and is truly missed every single day. His memory will always be cherished by his loving family, his devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.

Dave is survived by his wife, Julie Roddy; his son, Jason Weir and his wife Brandi; his four grandchildren Caleb, Preston, Avery, and Emerson Weir; sisters Judy Roddy Horner and her husband Thomas, Joy Roddy Gambino and her husband Calvin; brothers Glen Roddy and his wife Pam, Joe Roddy and his wife Dorothy as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
