David Radakovich

March 6, 1948 — April 26, 2024

David Radakovich, loving husband, Dad, Grandpa, and brother passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 26, 2024. He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on March 6, 1948.

David graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Insurance & Real Estate. He played football at Penn State and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He was employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for over 30 years, serving as Senior Vice-President and Southwest Division General Manager for Commercial Business Insurance in his last 15 years in Irving, Texas. He was employed at HUB International for the past 15 years in Dallas, Texas, as a Senior Vice-President in Commercial Insurance and Risk Management.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of C-5 Youth Foundation of Texas for 9 years. He served as Past Chair of Southwest insurance Information Services for 15 years. He also served as a Board of Director for the Insurance Council of Texas for 9 years.

David served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for six years.

David enjoyed playing golf with friends, family, and especially his grandson, Vincent. David and Barbara enjoyed traveling with family and many of their friends.

David is survived by a loving family; his wife of 53 years, Barbara; his daughters, Sheri Christo and her husband Steve, and stepsons, Stephen and Matthew; Kristi Parello and her husband, Vince, and grandson, Vincent, and granddaughter, Alexa; his sister, JoAnn Scanga and her husband Guy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sister-in law and brother-in-law, Sue and Earl Benson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Jan King; and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who loved and had fun with their “Uncle Dave.”  He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Ray Radakovich and Melva Perich Radakovich and brother, Raymond Radakovich.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, in Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He will be laid to rest at Allen Family Funeral Options Columbarium, in Plano, Texas.
