David Leroy Foote

David Leroy Foote, at the time of his death, was 78 years old. He was born on May 19, 1943, in Slaton, Texas, to mother Faye Foote and father Leroy Foote.

He studied architecture at Arizona State University. David received his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University. He was a member of the Peace Corp and then moved to Caracas, Venezuela in 1975. He was head of the Republican Party in Venezuela. He was a chairman of the American and Venezuelan chamber of commerce. David worked in architecture and urban planning in Venezuela and Colombia. He developed low-income housing for struggling families in Venezuela and Colombia.

David also worked for Bank of America, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Federal Banking Agencies ("FBAs"). He was a specialist in FBA lending for most of his business administration career.

He is survived by his wife, Marianella Febres-Cordero Foote; two children, Lauren Leona Foote (Adam David Popeck) and David Allen Foote; grandson, Lucas David Foote Popeck and brother, William E. Foote.
