David "Fergie" Howard Ferguson

David "Fergie" Howard Ferguson of Allen, Texas passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 56 years.

David was born on April 13, 1964 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.  He attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and graduated from Episcopal School of Dallas in 1982.  He attended Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University and the University of Texas at Dallas.  He was active in the Boy Scouts in Troop 575 under Pete Lutkin and attained the highest achievement as an Eagle Scout in 1982.

He was always the center of attention in an ever-growing circle of friends. Socially, he has been described as a force of nature!  He was a life-long outdoorsman and hunter as well as an avid cinema enthusiast.  Never meeting a stranger, David was always willing to help anyone and for the past few years enjoyed serving at the Ronald McDonald House.  He was often the jolly Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf for the City of Highland Park Christmas Tree lighting each year.  He gave to others until the very end by being an organ donor.

David is survived by his wife, Heather; daughters, India, Ella, and Caroline and their numerous fur babies.  He is also survived by his extended family, Tom and Karen Ferguson, Steve and Leslie Ferguson, Mike and Jamie Ferguson, Robin Ferguson and Matt Davey.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023.      **Please note, masks must be worn at the service and temperatures will be screened prior to entering the church**

David could always be found wearing his loud, crazy and fun socks and, in his honor, the family would love for you to wear your most favorite and fun socks!
