Darrell Wesley Davidson

Darrell W Davidson, born in Hollis, Oklahoma on June 13, 1943 and died on April 20, 2022 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas. He was formerly a resident of Plano, Texas before moving to Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Darrell joined the U. S. Army with his best friend Rick Jones shortly after his High School graduation.  He came home after his discharge to Amarillo, Texas where enrolled in West Texas State University, now Texas A&M.  He worked for Bell Telephone Company at night while attending  college during day. Darrell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and then a Masters in Operations Research.

The major part of his career was in the Insurance Industry.  He worked for more than twenty years at Millers Mutual Insurance Group in Ft Worth, Texas, retiring as Vice President and General Manager of the Agricultural Business Department in 1993. From 1993 -1994, he was Vice President and Regional Manager for the SE regional office of Pennsylvania Millers Mutual Insurance Company in Brentwood, Tennessee. He also had short terms at Vesta Insurance Company in Birmingham, Alabama and Titan Insurance Company before leaving the insurance industry. Lastly, he worked 5 years for U. S. Post Office in Dallas, Texas and retired in 2010.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Reenie; brother, Douglas and his wife Mary; son, Bart and his wife Krystle; daughter in law, Vivian; stepson, Steven Fortune and wife Nancy; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his best friend, Rick Jones and his wife Sandy; special nieces, Rhonda, Natalie and Jenna Reynolds and many other family and friends.

He was predeceased by son, Scott; parents, Felton and Ola Davidson; brother, Doyle; sisters, Winona and June; and two nephews.
