Dari Lin Grubbs

Dari Lin Lites Grubbs, 69, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Dari Lin was born in Clarksville, Texas to Charles and Wauva Lites on December 22, 1955. She went to high school in Jasper, Texas and graduated in 1974. Dari Lin married Dan Grubbs in 1979, and they moved to Dallas. They had one child, Donovan (Donny), and he was the light of her life.

Dari Lin pursued a career as a legal secretary and worked for 40 years for law firms and title companies in the Dallas area. Upon retirement, she slowed down and enjoyed a quiet life full of great books, movies, antique shopping and collecting. This past year has also included enjoyable “Mimi” times spent with her first grandchild, Harper.

Dari Lin is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dan Grubbs of Plano, Texas, her son Donny and partner Audrey Greaves, and granddaughter Harper Rose of Sherman, Texas. She is also survived by her mother, Wauva Aydelott Lites of Fairview, Texas; sister, Donna Roark and husband Richard of Fairview, Texas; brother Duane and wife Ann of Rockwall, Texas; and nephews and nieces, Heather, Travis, Marley and Tanner, along with their children. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lites and cherished grandmother, Myra Beaty Hopper.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Dari’s life at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options officiated by Pastor Robert Matthews.  If you wish to view the service via webcast, please visit: https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/113307

Dari will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Many, Louisiana.
