Danny Neal Browning fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Growing up in the red dirt oil fields of West Texas as the third of four boys, he started his eternal relationship with the Lord and excelled in anything he put his mind toward. His talent on the football field provided him a full ride to the prestigious Southern Methodist University where he graduated with a business degree.
Shortly after graduation he began his career in Lubbock, Texas where he met his bride of 45 years, Inez Hammett. Eventually they settled in Plano, Texas raising their two girls, Jeffie and Allie, and made a treasure trove of memories together. From their annual beach trips with their friends and neighbors, to hiking the mountainous trails of Colorado with their grand babies, life was always an adventure.
Danny was invariably a hard worker, and he found great successes in the marketplace, but most importantly he found successes in the many life-long relationships he made throughout his career. A substantial portion of his work life was alongside one of his closest friends and business partners Bill Henry as they zealously grew MHBT’s clientele.
Danny was gifted with an uncanny ability to win over even the toughest of accounts with his natural magnetism that outpoured an assurance of his dependability and loyalty. The Lord would go on to use his unique gifts to help launch and grow Providence Church of Frisco, Texas alongside his wife and daughters and their families. The relationships made throughout the years at Providence were eternal investments that helped save marriages, birth miracles, and save countless souls.
Danny was intentional in all his relationships, and he never left any room for doubt that you were important to him. He was one of those special kinds of people where his presence alone gave you a sense of security as he exuded leadership qualities of wisdom, understanding and a strong moral code. Dan always had the ability to see every single person in the room.
Danny’s faithfulness to God was his first priority and right behind that was his love and devotion to his other half and best friend Inez. No one enjoyed his sense of humor more than she did and the sounds of laughter always filled their home. One of their greatest joys in life was being close by to both their daughters, gaining two wonderful sons-in-law and being Nina and Papa to their six beautiful grandchildren. Danny and Inez lived out their love story every day and their marriage has been a testimony to all who have known them.
Danny is survived by his loving wife Inez; his daughters and sons-in-law Jeffie and Chris Jones and Allie and Justin Zuniga (both of Frisco, Texas); he also leaves behind his six beloved grandchildren: Justin Zuniga (18), Haley Zuniga (15), Noah Jones (15), Sam Jones (13), Elijah Jones (11), and McKamy Zuniga (10); his three brothers and their wives Terry and Joann Browning, Randy and Pam Browning, and Jimmy and Cristy Browning. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Joretta Browning.
There will be a celebration of Danny’s life Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Park Cities Baptist Church, 3933 Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas 75225.
