Cynthia Gayle Stockley

November 2, 1960 — December 11, 2019

Cynthia Gayle Clark Stockley was born in McKinney, Texas on November 2, 1960 and passed from this earth on December 11, 2019.  She is survived by her husband, Edward Eric Stockley, and their son, Edward Eric Stockley, Jr., her parents, John and Barbara Clark, her sister, Lori Clark Preston, her husband, Paul, and sons, Noah and Luke, her brother, Ben and his children, Alex and Sydney, and brother, Kyle Clark, as well as many other family members she loved.

Cynthia lived in and attended school in Amarillo (Texas), New Providence (New Jersey), Farmers Branch (Texas), Manchester (Missouri), and Duncanville (Texas), where she graduated from high school and was a member of the High Hats drill team. She attended college at Texas Tech where she was active in Chi Omega sorority and a founding member of the Texas Tech Raiderettes performance dance team.  She earned her bachelor's degree in business. She then started her career with AT&T in San Antonio and excelled to the level of Vice President.  She earned her MBA from Purdue University and her job took her to many locations in this country and around the world before taking her to New York and finally back to Dallas. She left AT&T and then took an executive position with Direct Energy commuting to Houston for several years. She was always grateful for the relationships formed in her work.

After retirement she was very active in the Junior League of Collin County focusing on membership, domestic violence and rocking babies at the hospital. She had a heart for community charitable groups. In addition, she was an ardent worker and fan with the mothers' groups that supported their sons' football and hockey teams through the years.

She will always be remembered for her love of family, her kindness and her willingness to help them and friends on any occasion. She added brightness everywhere she went, and now she is a star in heaven, still watching over her loved ones.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Allen Family Funeral Options. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023, with Dr. Kory Knott and Reverend Sharon O’Connor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org or mail to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL. 60601.
