Cynthia Dawn Henson

October 5, 1959 — February 28, 2026

Plano, Texas

It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Dawn Henson announce her sudden passing on February 28, 2026, at the age of 66. Cynthia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Greg.

Cynthia was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma on October 5, 1959, to Andy & Marva (Gindlesberger) Tuxhorn. She spent many of her childhood years in Alva, Oklahoma where she met her husband, Greg. After marriage Cynthia & Greg moved to Enid, Oklahoma and ultimately to Plano, Texas, where they have resided for almost 40 years.

Often described by those that have known her as "the sweetest person they know". Cynthia will be remembered by family & friends as caring and compassionate, always in service to others. A devoted wife, mother, grandma, daughter and sister. Cynthia will be greatly missed by all.

She LOVED her OU Sooners, Georgia Bulldogs and especially the Dallas Cowboys. Her enthusiastic cheering during games often ran her beloved dogs Bella & Tony out of the room.

Cynthia greatly enjoyed beach vacations with friends, patio Mexican dinners with anyone, visits with her Oklahoma & Georgia families and road trips with her sister Valerie. Her favorite times by far were the times spent with her grandson's Wyatt and Hayes.

Cynthia has always been a numbers girl. Her early career included working in accounting with Union Equity Grain Elevators and Bowater International. She later worked in accounting in the Telecom industry for over 20 years. For the past 8 years Cynthia has been the office manager and helped in running the family sprinkler business with her husband and son Kyle.

"I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even

though they die, will live". John 11:25-26

Cynthia is survived by her husband Greg; sons Kyle and wife Meredith and Bradley; grandsons Wyatt and Hayes; mother Marva Anderson; sister Valerie Wilson and husband Randy; half-sister Tammy Stallcup and husband Jody; sister-in-law Kelly Elliot and husband Tom; brothers-in-law Barry Henson and wife Sonia and Gary Henson; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her stepdad Gordon Anderson; father and stepmother Andy and Mary Tuxhorn; mother and father-in-law Ellen and Edward Henson; stepbrother Kent Anderson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2026, at Allen Family Funeral Options. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
