Connor Bryan Pickett

December 20, 1985 — October 31, 2017

Connor Bryan Pickett was born December 20, 1985 in Plano, Texas to parents Bryan Pickett and Catherine Woodmansee.

Connor had a heart the size of Texas and always put those around him first; almost to a fault. He loved his family deeply and wholeheartedly and he treated his close circle of friends as if they were his family. Connor’s gracious and kind heart touched all those he met in his life. His grandmother has confirmed this great affection and expressed how appreciative she is because she has been on the receiving end of that affection on many occasions.

He had a strong love of music of many genres but was particularly drawn to Classic Rock and Heavy Metal.  He was an avid follower of Iron Maiden and on occasion was even known to belt out the song, “My Maria” by Brooks and Dunn without hesitation.

Connor graduated from the St. Anthony School in May of 2005 and maintained close ties with his classmates throughout the years.

In life he was incredibly generous, and now in death even more so. Connor chose to be an organ/tissue donor and because of his decision there will be dozens of recipients whose lives will be made better—even saved because of his “love-gifts”.  Prayers are now for those recipients and their families who await a donor’s gift.  Prayers are being said for the protection of each of his loving gifts as they are transported and for the medical teams who will perform their amazing services.  Also, prayers that there will be no rejection of organs or tissue.

As Connor leaves us who adore him, he gets to see Jesus and through Christ’s great love, Connor will be with his mother once again, for eternity.  God’s speed to the man with such a bright light that burned so radiantly in the darkness for so many.  May he always be remembered and celebrated, and his memory illuminate our hearts for the rest of our days.

Connor was preceded in death by his mother Cathi Woodmansee and is survived by his father Bryan Pickett, sister Taylor Caulfield and her husband Cody, maternal grandparents Jack and Patricia Woodmansee, aunt Lauren Pickett, uncles John Woodmansee and his wife Robin and Robert Woodmansee and his wife Caree, his closest and dearest friend Jeff Nicholson and many loving cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Connor on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the main sanctuary at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75024. The family has requested if desired, memorial contributions be made to Christ Church (memo “Family Ministry”), 4516 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75024.
