Colleen Theresa Myers

Colleen Theresa Myers was born March 29th, 1973, and she passed away July 25th, 2024. She leaves behind her three cherished daughters, Kaitlyn, Lauren, and Emily, her loving father, Frank, and her dear brother, Robert.

Colleen was a woman of many passions and talents. She had a remarkable ability to create delicious meals, filling her home with the comforting aroma of her cooking. Classic rock was the soundtrack to her life, and she found joy in decorating, creating warm and inviting spaces for her loved ones. Above all, Colleen was a devoted mother who fiercely loved her family and friends.

Colleen dedicated her early career to teaching children with disabilities, showing them patience, kindness, and understanding. Later, she chose to become a stay-at-home mom, devoting her time and energy to raising her three daughters, providing them with love, guidance, and support.

Despite her many joys, Colleen battled the disease of alcoholism. This struggle was not a reflection of her character or strength but rather a relentless condition she faced with courage. It's important to understand that alcoholism is a disease, not a choice, and it does not define the incredible person she was.

In honor of Colleen, we urge anyone who is struggling with alcoholism or knows someone who is to seek help. There is no shame in asking for support. Reach out, speak up, and find the strength to overcome.

Colleen's warmth, love, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Colleen’s life at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
