Claudeen was born in Oklahoma City to Claude Fike and Anna Fike (Wells). She was the second youngest of a large family of 7 children. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School (Okla. City. Ok) in 1950. During her youth in Oklahoma City, Claudeen worked at a bank along helping at her parent’s neighborhood Grocery Store. She served as a model and beauty queen after High School. After a short courtship she married the love of her life, Wayne Lutke in 1955.
They eventually settled in Midland Texas, Claudeen and Wayne raised three sons. Wayne Jr. Lutke (Shreveport Louisiana), Greg Lutke (Plano Texas) and Jeff Lutke (Weatherford Texas]. Claudeen was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and her family were lifelong members of the Grace Lutheran Church, in Midland, TX. During early her time in Midland she served as a Cub Scout Den mother and a Little League volunteer. Her later professional life included working in the library at Midland High School of the MISD, where she eventually was promoted to Executive Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent/M ISD. She and her family loved traveling through Colorado and most of western America in their motorhome every summer. She was a lifetime avid reader, and you could always find her with a book. More than a few people considered Claudeen to be their best friend. Everyone described her as elegant, loyal, and always available as a friend.
After retiring in 1993, Wayne and Claudeen lived for 10 years in Horseshoe Bay, Texas and another 10 years in Hot Spring Village, Arkansas. The past 7 years have been in Plano, Texas. While in Horseshoe Bay, since she did not play golf, tennis, or bridge, she chose to work for a CPA firm as a Secretary. Due to time constraints, they chose not to go on a honeymoon immediately after marriage. However, after retirement they motor homed to Niagara Falls, New York for a wonderful six-week trip. She enjoyed the family and many friends coming to Horseshoe Bay for visits.
Wayne and Claudeen moved to Hot Springs Village. They planned and organized a neighborhood games and eat-out activity. Later, Claudeen became a POA Ambassador where she displayed her smile, grace, and efficiency. After moving to Plano, Texas, Claudeen and Wayne became the first Resident Ambassadors for a Senior Independent Apartment Living Facility. Claudeen always enjoyed motoring to Branson Missouri, Midland and Horseshoe Bay to visit friends, and viewing the blue bonnets in the spring. Ultimately, Claudeen and Wayne enjoyed being closer to their wonderful loving children.
Claudeen is survived by her husband Wayne, her sons Wayne Lutke, Jr.and his wife Debbie (Jensen), Gregory M Lutke and his wife Keri (Andrews), and Jeffrey Lynn Lutke and his wife Alesia; grandchildren Cody Christopher Lutke and his wife Reiko and daughter Lia Sakura Lutke, Chase Trenton Lutke, Colin Moore Lutke, Isabella Eloise Lutke, Annalise Claudeen Lutke, Destin Lorenzo Meza, Christyawana Lorennya Meza, Jordan Lutke, Kathryn Lutke; sister Anna Belle (Fike) Fisher and many loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Claudeen's life Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options. She will be laid to rest at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
