Chuck Barber

November 5, 1938 — February 13, 2024

Charles “Chuck” Herbert Barber was born to Ross and Ruth Barber in Glans Falls, New York on November 5, 1938. Chuck passed on February 13, 2024, in Fairview, Texas.

Chuck was a storyteller.  Born in New York and moved to California at a young age.  He was enlisted in the Navy before going into law enforcement.  He was also in the restaurant business and then became a stockbroker.

He loved the Lord, reading the word, along with the finer things in life.  He enjoyed fishing, golf, and most sporting events.  He will be missed.

Chuck is survived by wife Joan of nearly 30 years; children Jeff, Ross, Carolyn, and Billie; grandchildren Jennifer, Spencer, Josh, Jake, John, Austin, Logan, and Haley; and great-grandchildren Zoey, Layla.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Allen Family Funeral Options. A funeral service to celebrate Chuck’s life will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Chuck will be laid to rest with military honors at 1:15 p.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, Texas 75211.
