Christine (Chris) Ann Crooks

February 20, 1949 — March 30, 2018

Christine Ann Crooks was born February 20, 1949 in Waltham, Massachusetts to parents Anthony and Elizabeth (Russo) Cincotta.  Chris left her earthly body on March 30, 2018 to join her Heavenly Father for eternity.

Christine Ann Cincotta Crooks spent her early years in Newton Massachusetts and completed her education with an Associate Degree from Massachusetts Bay Community College in 1969. It was in college that she met her future husband, John Crooks. They married in 1971 and spent 47 years together raising two children and being blessed with five grandchildren in this world; Connor, Katelyn, Kamryn, Cora, and Halle and one, Mia Gabrielle who Christine holds now in eternal glory.

John’s career took them to Columbus Ohio, back to Boston, to Herndon Virginia, and eventually to Plano Texas in 1993. Their 25 years in Texas were especially fulfilling, where their children completed grade school and high school in Plano, and both graduated from SMU. Christine spent her last 14 years working as a Listing Coordinator for the Jan Richey Team, associated with Keller Williams Realty. Chris’ outgoing personality, strong work ethic, and obsessive attention to detail established her as an invaluable resource. She was loved by all her associates and clients for her engaging style and her constant upbeat attitude. Her infectious smile, language mastery, and willingness to work tirelessly through any issue or challenge were inestimable.

Her greatest joy was attending to her children and grandchildren. She felt blessed to have her whole immediate family live within a five mile radius. It was a great source of satisfaction and pride that she was able to influence, mentor, and support her family in such close proximity. She was legendary for her love of cooking and entertaining. Most holidays and nearly every Sunday reflected her art of preparing classic Italian dishes and distinctive gourmet meals. In true Italian tradition, she was happiest when her whole family was together around her dinner table.

She applied the same mastery in entertaining her many close friends. She loved to entertain and would spend hours preparing meals for her many dinner parties. She created an atmosphere of happiness, warmth and love that was infectious from the time you entered her home to the time you left. It was her passion.

Her faith in Jesus Christ her Savior was vibrant and strong. She took tremendous pleasure in worshipping Him at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano.

Chris is survived by her loving husband John Crooks, son Gregory Austin Crooks and his wife Alicia, daughter Julie Beth Chisum and her husband Mike and five grandchildren; Connor, Katelyn, Kamryn, Cora, and Halle.

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Chris will be held April 10, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75093.  Chris will be laid to rest at St. Andrew United Methodist Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christine's name to The Storehouse of Collin County at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, whose mission is to feed, clothe and care for needy people in the community. http://www.thestorehousecc.org/donate
