Christine "Chris" Lynn Bradley

October 1, 1948 — October 17, 2025

Plano

Christine “Chris” Lynn Bradley passed away October 17, 2025, at age 77. Chris was born on Oct 1, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas to Carroll Gene and Dorothy Peters Chaloupka.

Chris graduated from Dalhart High School and later then went on to study business at W. Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. She was a great water skier in her prime. She loved floating in the pool and listening to what we now call “Yacht Rock”.

Chris is a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church for over 35 years where she served on the board along with being a part of various church organizations. Some organizations she was involved in were Jr. League of Plano where she held numerous positions. The North Dallas Area Women’s Club, where she oversaw Special Events the last two years and was serving as Historian this year. Chris was also a part of the Beta Sigma Phi- where she was awarded “Woman of the Year”.

Chris loved to socialize and met many people during her career. Chris was a Sales Manager at Pappagallo in Plano, Texas, manager at Talbots in Plano for nine years as well as a Leasing and Marketing agent at Parkview in Frisco and Parkview in Allen, Texas before she retired in 2013.

Chris’ hobbies included weekly Bible Study, decorating her home inside and out, reading, shopping, traveling to NYC, and her favorite thing to do which was lunching with her many, many girlfriends and sharing many laughs. She loved to laugh. Chris especially loved to share those laughs with her loving husband Bob. Chris and Bob met following previous marriages and they both knew they had something very special. They had 15 wonderful years, 14 as man and wife, and they knew that God put them together for reasons of His own. And it worked!

Chris always had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. Her warm strength and compassion were a constant source of comfort and inspiration. It is hard to put into words what a special person Chris was. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in being with them and sharing in their many travels and adventures together. Her beautiful heart, joyful presence, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Robert M Baines of Plano, Texas, son Bobby Wyatt DeWeese (Lisa) of Omaha, Nebraska, grandchildren Jolee and Brady DeWeese of Omaha, Nebraska, brother Steve (Shelly) of Amarillo, Texas, nephews Michael Chaloupka of Amarillo, Texas, and Carter (Darby) Chaloupka of Altus Airforce Base, Oklahoma.
