Richard "Christopher" Hambleton was born on January 10, 1975, to his proud parents, Richard and JoAnna Hambleton. As a young child Chris was very active, playing all sports to riding bikes and playing in the creeks of Allen, Texas with his closest friends.
Chris attended Allen High School, where he excelled in baseball. Chris graduated high school in 1993. After high school, he and 4 of his closest friends moved to Austin, Texas. On December 14, 1997, Chris became a doting father to Nicholas Xavier Hambleton. Soon after, Chris moved back to Dallas, Texas. This is when he started his career in the HVAC field. In 2013, he got the opportunity to take a position at Lennox International as a mechanical engineer. He loved his job and made lifelong friends. He was highly respected for his work.
December 1, 2015, Chris had coffee with Summer Beaty. Their love story took off from there! February 11, 2017, Summer and Chris got engaged and on November 10, 2017, Summer and Chris were married! They had a very strong, loving marriage.
May of 2020, they purchased their first home in Garland, Texas. Chris and Summer started many projects in their home and were happier than ever. In August 2020, they adopted their beloved dog, Eleanor Rigby.
On March 23, 2021, they received devastating news that Chris had Glioblastoma, terminal brain cancer. Summer stood by his side until his very last breath. Chris fought incredibly hard. Brain surgery, radiation and 15 months of chemo. These treatments only extended life, they were not a hopeful cure. January 6, 2023, Chris was placed on hospice care. He fought until his last breath on March 7, 2023.
If you knew Chris, you loved him. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Chris is survived by his loving wife Summer Beaty Hambleton; son Nick Hambleton; mother JoAnna Stokley and her husband Keith; stepmother Gwynn Hambleton; sister Alicia McDonald and her husband Bryan; nephew and niece Gunnar and Natalie McDonald and many loving friends. His special fur babies meant wo much to him, Eleanor (dog) and Callie and Sasha (cats). He was preceded in death by his father.
